| K dude, since you're making a semi-stats system I'll list my ideas here (didn't know where else to do it). Hopefully you'll like them and maybe implement some of them.

| General rules, Traveling rules and the World map General forum and rp rules:- Spoiler:
-Be courteous and respectful towards others
-No one line posts. Be creative, at the very least post 100 words.
-No God Modding, Bunnying, Trolling, Feeding the Troll, Flaming, Power playing, Power gaming and Loopholing.
-Listen to admins and mods
-No double posting (unless the situation absolutely calls for it)
-Don't beg for anything (rank, elements, modship/adminship ect...)
-There are 2 types of topics: [Important] and [Casual]. You can simultaneously RP in as many 'casual' topics as you want (casual topics are like training, wandering in town, socializing with friends, friendly sparring ect...), but you can only RP in 1 'important' topic at a time. Important topics are RPs like a mission, a war, a battle to the death, escaping from the village, in short something that is important and has a major impact on your character. You can enter and leave [casual] topics whenever you want, but you can only enter [important] topics withing the first 12 (or 24, haven't decided yet) hours when they are opened and leave them only by escaping or if there is no one willing to stop you. Map of the world:- Spoiler:
[Only admins are allowed to see this image] Travel rules:To prevent people teleporting all over the place, going where they want, whenever they want, however they want, joining any topic ect...(That last part was especially aimed at high rank missing nin who on other sites always ambush low rank ninja the minute they leave the village), I have come up with a traveling system to regulate these things, make them more realistic and plausible. Traveling- Spoiler:
- Entering and Exiting your Village: When you have to leave the village, you will have to pass through its gates (open a topic) where the guards will confirm you have the right to leave. Trying to leave through any other path but the gates, without special permission from the Kage, will be considered an illegal action. Same goes when trying to enter.
- Traveling inside of a village: If you are already on a village, you are allowed to open a topic at any time (no need to pause between topics).
- Traveling Distances: If you travel beyond your village, but still within friendly territory, you will have to wait at least 6 hours before you can open a new topic and post in the destination. If you travel to other countries then you have to make a topic in the starting country as well as every country you pass along the way, with a 6 hour pause between each topic. Ex: Lets say you want to travel from the Wind to the Fire country. That would mean first making a topic in the Wind country (the one in the village gates doesn't count), then in the River country, and finally at your destination.
Being Intercepted- Spoiler:
If 2 ninjas or ninja teams who are enemies find themselves in the same country, they can attack each other by posting a new topic with the word [Interception] in the title OR they can just post in the original topic of the one they attacked. In ether case, the opposing party must be notified with a pm, email or chat announcement that they are being attacked. Remember that [important] topics can only be entered within the first 12 hours they are opened, also an interception can be made in the 6 hour window while a team is traveling from 1 place to the other. Escaping- Spoiler:
Escaping is always a good method of surviving a fight or to leave the rules of a village behind in order to follow your own dreams and objectives.
Running from a Fight: There is no shame in a tactical retreat, especially if outclassed. Still, it's not easy because if you just turn around and start running what’s stopping the enemy from sinking a shuriken in the back of your head! Which is why: - Make a post describing how you plan to escape the battle then inform an admin/mod that you are trying to escape. The admin/mod will read your post and see how good it is, then check your stats and skills, as well as those of your opponent. Taking all these things into consideration (mostly the quality of the RP though) he will decide upon a number between 1 to 99. This will be your "probability of success". He will then roll a 0~100 dice (admin panel option). If the number of the dice is equal or smaller than the probability number then the escape was successful, if its greater then it failed. An escape attempt may only be attempted once every 4 posts.
- A ninja may auto-escape safely if he has someone else to cover his back (PC or NPC ninja, clones and summons don't count). Just like if someone would try to run unprotected he could be heavily damaged, trying to chase someone while there's an opponent in front of you would probably result in the same thing. Goes without saying that this only works if there is an equal number of protectors as there are opponents.
Escaping a Village (Going Missing Nin): If you want to escape a village, there are a few things that you need to do. You can't just run away without anyone noticing, you live in a Hidden Shinobi Village for pete sake, someone will be guarding the Gates and Walls, someone will eventually notice you're gone (the ANBU aren't just for decoration). As such, you must create a topic with the sign "[Escaping]" in the topic's title. This way, people will know your intentions on that topic and may attempt to stop you, although there are a few conditions to this as well: - A person mustn't be in any significant roleplay topic (an [important] topic) since this IS an [important] topic.
- The person trying to stop the runner must have encountered him in a roleplay, a good contact, not just a simple "passing by". No, he must be well acquainted with the runner. ANBU members may ignore this condition.
Entering a Foreign Village- Spoiler:
Before you can travel to another village, YOU MUST KNOW WHERE IT IS. Just because you know a village exists, that doesn't mean you know WHERE it exists. You must have some form of valid justification that allows your character to know even the general location of where the village is. Whether that came from previous experience in the village (having been escorted to it), knowledge from another ninja from that village or etc. Any non-justified village contact topics will be voided.
When you peacefully visit a foreign ninja village, there will be a few administrative procedures that you need to do before you can enter. Most notably is that your Kage has to announce your arrival by sending a bird message beforehand. When you get there the guards at the village gate will confirm if their Kage permits your entry. If circumstances (like an emergency) don’t allow the luxury of what was said above then when you near the village stick to the main road, hold your hands where the guys at the wall can see them (unless you want to be showered with kunai) and surrender. Then they will immobilize you and take you in so you could explain yourself. Doing anything else will be considered as a hostile action.
Attacking a Village (hideout) or trying to sneak into a village (hideout) undetected is considered Forced Entry.
Attacking a village is fairly simple. Just open a topic in the village gates, add [Attack] or [WAR] or [Invasion] into the title and start bashing. Attacking a village is preferred only when done in great numbers otherwise you will probably be confronted in an unfair combat and will likely be killed.
Sneaking into a village is more tricky, but works in the same way as running from a fight. Make a post, inform an admin/mod, he will make probability dice roll to see if you're discovered whenever you make a significant action. After a battle: Resting, Looting and Retrieving- Spoiler:
In [important] topics, after a battle, you can choose to rest and recover (provided you have the necessary items/skills or a medic nin along) before traveling again (you have to announce it in big bold letters at the beginning or end of your post). If you don't, and you are intercepted before you enter a friendly haven, then you will enter the next battle in the exact same condition (all injured and tired) as when you ended your last battle.
Discarded non-consumable items (kunai, shuriken, swords ect...) used in sparring matches in casual topics, were they weren't destroyed somehow, are returned to you when you leave the topic. In [important] topics, after a battle, you have to announce in big bold letters at the beginning or end of the post that you choose to "search and/or retrieve and/or loot". This will allow you to: 1) get back all of your discarded equipment 2) loot the body of your enemy (if you are with other PCs you make a deal who gets what) 3) Do both
Looting the body of the defeated nets you 20% of their current money.
These (and any other) "after battle" actions increase the travel time to the next topic by 6 hours each, thus increasing the time in which you can be intercepted. PLOTIn case this site doesn't have a plot, here's my idea for it: - Spoiler:
In the beginning... ...The 4th Shinobi world war came to an end when Madara was vanquished by the combined might of Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha, the 2 most powerful ninja of their time.
Naruto united all shinobi nations under one banner, the Uzumaki World Order (UWO). He married Hyuuga Hinata and sired a boy whom he named Jiraiya, in honor of his late sensei. Sasuke married Sakura Haruno who gave him a daughter, who they named Tsunade. Naruto was a just and noble leader and his reign was long and peaceful, but his true wisdom was shown when he married off his son to Sasuke's daughter, reuniting the bloodline of the Great Sage and ensuring that the peace he strived to build would last forever. This became known as the Golden Age.
At first his vision seemed to hold true. For generations the descendants of Naruto and Sasuke rules the governing body of the UWO and watched over the world by hollowing the teachings of "The Great Naruto". However, human nature must run its course. Greedy people who rose to power didn't like having restrictions placed upon them by someone stronger. Petty warlords could no longer invade or otherwise subvert other countries. "Stagnation!" they cried, "We want power!" they thought. Thus began the era of "The Shadow Wars".
Ambitious people and organizations went to extraordinary lengths to corrupt lesser segments of the UWO so that they would turn a blind eye while they waged "secret wars" on each other. Over time, this took its toll. The corruption spread. Parts of UWO began to identify themselves by their clans of origin. Soon the UWO was no longer a single organization, but a group of ninja clans held in line through sheer power by the Uzumaki clan. With each new generation the Uzumaki clan had to take harsher and harsher measures to maintain the peace. Time and unlimited power can corrupt even the noblest of ideas, the teachings of The Great Naruto began to blur, slowly at first, but steadily. Soon, the Uzumaki clan dismissed the authority of civilian governments altogether and became the undisputed tyrant of the world.
Like a pyramid hierarchy, the most powerful ninja whose bloodline was the purest took the throne by force from the previous ruler and controlled the world through vassals who in turn had many lesser members controlling some part of the world, who they in turn commanded the other clans (by force) to do the grunt work.
This could not go on for long.
One day, 3 young ninja from the higher noble Uzumaki families (calling themselves the Sannin) cooked up a plan. Their bloodlines were diluted thus retaining little power from the original Great Sage, meaning their chances of overthrowing the current Uzumaki despot were slim to none. Motivated ether by greed or revenge or ideals of justice (some families had not forgotten the original teachings of Naruto), these Sannin decided to organize all the subjugated clans and civilian government in a simultaneously coordinated attack against the top Uzumaki leardership. The oppressed clans needed very little convincing. The day of the coup came and was successful.
...too successful.
Rather than just weakening the top circle enough for the Sannin themselves to assume power, the Uzumaki clan was completely obliterated.
The Uzumaki's "iron fist" type of ruling may have been cruel, but following its fall was utter chaos. Like a shaken champagne bottle, everything came spewing out when the cork was removed. Ninja clans each went their separate ways, countries waged open war, nations rose and fell, the global economy collapsed, crime rose by 3000%. There was no law, just chaos.
From each of their mansions, the Sannin, the last surviving members of the Uzumaki clan, watched the fall of civilization...And it was their fault. "All I wanted was to avenge my father" thought one, "The throne should have been mine!" berated another, "I just wanted to set the world back on track, like in the Golden Age" cried silently the last.
But despair, rage and grief soon turned into determination. Salvaging what was left of the Uzumaki's treasures, connections and political power, calling on favors from the clans they helped, the Sannin went their seperate ways. Each set out to fix the world, one way or the other.

| Character Basics, the Stat System Although in RP battles the quality of the post takes priority, a stat system is added to serve as a guideline for what something is or isn't within the limits of some ninja. A ninja's capabilities are represented by 4 Physical Stats(PS) ( Stamina(Stm), Strength(Str), Agility(Agl) and Perception(Prc)) and 4 Knowledge Stats ( Taijutsu(Tai), Ninjutsu(Nin), Genjutsu(Gen) and Kekke Genkai(KG) if he has one). In case they aren't obvious the spoiler below explains each stat in greater detail: - Spoiler:
Physical stats:- Stamina: Represents your...well...stamina. A ninja casts jutsus by drawing energy from his stamina (in case of ninjutsus he further mixes this energy with spiritual energy). Regardless, casting any kind of jutsu depletes a ninja's Stamina and once it reaches 0 he can no longer cast jutsus.
- Strength: Represents how strong your body is. A strong body can withstand more punishment and it can also deliver more punishment.
- Agility: Represents your speed, reflexes, agility, dexterity, finesse, aptitude with weapons ect...In short, how well you can control your own body.
- Perception: Represents your ability to aim, observe, detect, calculate the movements of moving objects ect... In short, it represents your awareness of your surroundings as well as eye-hand coordination (which is invaluable to any ninja).
Knowledge stats:- Taijutsu: Your Taijutsu Knowledge (martial arts). Makes your taijutsus stronger and it lets you use your body to its full potential.
- Ninjutsu: Your Ninjutsu Knowledge (spiritual arts). Improves your chakra molding ability, which in turn makes your ninjutsus stronger.
- Genjutsu: Your Genjutsu Knowledge (mind arts). Improves your own genjutsus AND resistance to enemy genjutsus.
- KG: Your Kekkei Genkai Knowledge. Represents how deep you can tap into the secret powers of your inherited talents
. FAQ: How do I improve a ninja's stats? As you train, role play, complete missions, defeat enemies, ect... your ninja gains experience points (EXP). Just like in video RPG games, once it has enough EXP the ninja "levels up" and gains an additional 10 PS and 5 KS. You can put the new points all on 1 stat or spread them around, it's your choice. Ninjas are human (powerful humans, but still human) which is why each PS stat has a cap of 150 points and each KS stat a cap of 100 points. Bonus stats from equipment/jutsus/skills/ect... doesn't count towards the cap. When you first create your ninja you start at level 0 and all your stats are 0. FAQ: How do I gain EXP exactly?1) Once per week you can open a training topic 400~500 words. Based on quality (yes quality not quantity. I don't want a 10 paged essay) a mod/admin will award you 1~6 EXP. Training with a sensei, teammate, special gear or in special training grounds can greatly increase the EXP you earn. 2) Once per week you can ask a mod to evaluate a topic where you RPed just for fun (hanging out with friends, exploring the village, taking a walk, ect...). He will reward 1~3 EXP. You can also obtain EXP by completing missions and killing/capturing enemy ninja. It's a much faster, but more dangerous way of earning EXP: - Spoiler:
-D rank mission / ninja with levels 0~10 = 2 EXP -C rank mission / ninja with levels 11~20 = 4 EXP -B rank mission / ninja with levels 21~30 = 10 EXP -A rank mission / ninja with levels 31~40 = 25 EXP -S rank mission / ninja with levels 41~50 = 75 EXP (You receive twice as much EXP if you kill/capture a PC ninja, normal amount if he's defeated but escapes, or if he's an NPC. You receive half the listed EXP if an NPC is defeated but escapes.)
Required Exp for next level: - Spoiler:
- Levels 0 to 5 = 5 Exp per LvL
- Levels 6 to 10 = 15 Exp per LvL
- Levels 11 to 15 = 20 Exp per LvL
- Levels 16 to 20 = 25 Exp per LvL
- Levels 21 to 25 = 30 Exp per LvL
- Levels 26 to 30 = 35 Exp per LvL
- Levels 31 to 35 = 40 Exp per LvL
- Levels 36 to 40 = 50 Exp per LvL
- Levels 41 to 45 = 65 Exp per LvL
- Levels 46 to 50 = 85 Exp per LvL

| Money, the true power To avoid confusion, we will use money (Ryō) as the universal currency for "buying" (figuratively speak) canon or invent custom jutsus, weapons, armor, items, clans, ect... FAQ: How do I earn money?Being a full time Ninja is a job just like any other which means you get salary. Every week you receive money based on your rank from your Kage or village council. Kages and Village councils reserve the right to withhold money from inactive members or award extra money to exceptional ninja. Weekly payments: - Spoiler:
RANK | Payment | Genin | 12,000 ryo | Chuunin | 24,000 ryo | Special Jounin | 35,000 ryo | Jounin | 45,000 ryo | Medic-Nin | + 3,000 ryo then equivalent rank | ANBU | + 6,000 ryo then equivalent rank | Sennin | 54,000 ryo | Kage | 62,000 ryo | Missing-nin | - D: 11,000 ryo
- C: 22,000 ryo
- B: 33,000 ryo
- A: 44,000 ryo
- S: 55,000 ryo
| A Missing nin's idea of weekly salary is robing civilians.
A much faster, but more dangerous way of obtaining money is by completing missions): - Spoiler:
-D rank mission = 3,000 ryo -C rank mission = 15,000 ryo -B rank mission = 50,000 ryo -A rank mission = 150,000 ryo -S rank mission = 600,000 ryo FAQ: So how do I "buy" stuff with money?Go to your village's shinobi shop (black market for missing nin), read the list of available stuff, decide which you want to buy then open a topic and list the stuff you want. A mod will subtract the money from your account and add the stuff you bought to your profile. Simple. The same goes with custom stuff except you have to open the topic in the Custom Creation so that they can be approved first. Below is a list of the standard cost for jutsus (custom stuff tend to be more expensive though). Prices for equipment varies too much to be generalized. - Spoiler:
- D rank jutsu = 8,000 ryo
- C rank jutsu = 16,000 ryo
- B rank jutsu = 32,000 ryo
- A rank jutsu = 64,000 ryo
- S rank jutsu = 128,000 ryo or more
If the one running your ninja village is good at his job, stuff in the shinobi shop will probably be cheaper. Inventing custom stuff will probably be cheaper too. NOTE: There is no limit to how many jutsus a ninja can have (Kakashi supposedly knows 1000), but there is a limit to how much equipment you can carry. The rest you'll have to leave at home.

| Missions and Ninja Ranks If you want a mission go to your village's missions section. There you'll find a list of available missions, pick one, post that you're taking it and start RPing. If you don't like the choice you can create your own mission, just open a request topic in your village's mission section. The mission will have to be approved by the staff before you can start it. The reason for this is to prevent people from spamming high level mission that have easy objectives. This is what a mission looks like: - Spoiler:
Type: (Escort, assassination, bodyguard, delivery, chore, scouting, patrol ect...) Rank: (D, C, B, A or S) Client: (Write down who wants this mission done. The daimyo? A rich civilian? The kage himself? These are usually mission directly related to the village, such as hunting a missing nin or infiltrating/scouting another village or patrolling the boarders, gates or the country itself.) Details: (More info on the circumstances regarding the mission or the nature of the mission itself. Also lists what kind of opposition or obstacles is expected) Objective: (With a few words, explains exactly what you need to do to complete the mission.) Assigned to: The ninja or ninja team this mission is assigned to.
Also, sometimes a kage may order you to take a mission (even if you don't feel like doing one at the time). You'd better accept it or suffer his wrath. Missions don't have a minimum word count rule, you just need to complete the objectives. The only exception to this rule is D rank missions, since they only need 1 topic to be completed. For them the word count should be 400~500 words. The rewards for successfully completing missions is as follows: - Spoiler:
-D rank mission = 2 EXP; 3,000 ryo -C rank mission = 4 EXP; 15,000 ryo -B rank mission = 10 EXP; 50,000 ryo -A rank mission = 25 EXP; 150,000 ryo -S rank mission = 75 EXP ; 600,000 ryo
Solo missions are allowed but if multiple PC ninja complete a mission they have to split the rewards. The kage or council may award extra money for a job well done. No more than 1 ninja team may be sent on a mission. A ninja team can only have 1 leader and there can't be more than 3 PC ninja on 1 team. The only exceptions to this rule is when a sensei is assigned to watch over 3 low level genin. Please remember that missions are [important] topics so you can't start a new mission before the current one is finished. An exception to this rule is if a high rank mission is taking way too long to complete (usually because of lazy members). In such a case you may request another low rank (D or possibly C) no-risk-involved mission in a [casual] topic. The timeline of the low level mission will be treated as if it had happened before the high ranked one. A FRIENDLY WARNINGB, A and S rank missions are particularly difficult so don't take them lightly (the chances of running into an enemy PC ninja is very, very high). NINJA RANKSI think ninja ranks should just be titles, not a reflection of a ninja's combat power (Naruto is a genin yet he's one of the strongest ninja out there). We should leave the ranking system up to the councils of each village. How they want to promote their own ninja, what kind of tests they deem worthy, is their own business (they are the ones who have to pay them after all).

| How to fight! [Extremely Super Important] RP battles are conducted like in any other Naruto RP site. Each side takes turns posting an exciting short story explaining what their character do and in the process are careful not to GM or otherwise cheat. At the end of the post they put in a spoiler the definitions of all the jutsus they used and other important stuff that need mentioning. However, even with stats serving as guidelines, it's not always easy to RP without accidentally cheating. Battles are based on using "common sense" but not everyone shares the same concept of what's "common sense". To prevent this I've added a few extra rules that will inhibit GM and cheating. Unlimited Chakra? To avoid people acting as if their ninja have unlimited chakra (thus spam high level jutsus), each jutsu has a Stamina cost which is subtracted from that ninja's Stamina stat and when the Stamina stat becomes 0 that ninja can no longer cast jutsus. Freezing Time? There has always been an issue of people performing WAY TOO MANY actions in 1 post (you have to remember than in real life 1 post is suppose to last only 10 to 20 seconds). Here, the number of actions a ninja can perform in 1 post is measured with Battle Points (BP for short). Like with stamina cost, each jutsu will cost a certain amount of BP (Example: throwing a Kunai=1 BP, casting a C rank ninjutsu=4 BP, ect...). Unlike Stamina, BP is refreshed at the start of every post. Whether because of experience, skill or just plain nerves, it's logical to assume that veteran ninja could perform more actions than newbie ninjas. For this reason ninja with a higher level will get more BP each post compared to those with a lower level. NOTE: More BP doesn't more time, it just means that ninja with more BP are able to perform more action within the same time frame (those hypothetical 10~20 seconds) as a ninja with fewer BP. Anime-like halting time to make a dialogue or some such in which no one is really doing anything, is considered "dead time" and doesn't cost BP or influence the battle or anything. - Spoiler:
- Levels 0 to 2: 2 BP
- Levels 3 to 6: 3 BP
- Levels 7 to 10: 4 BP
- Levels 11 to 14: 5 BP
- Levels 15 to 18: 6 BP
- Levels 19 to 22: 7 BP
- Levels 23 to 26: 8 BP
- Levels 27 to 30: 9 BP
- Levels 31 to 34: 10 BP
- Levels 35 to 38: 11 BP
- Levels 39 to 42: 12 BP
- Levels 43 to 46: 14 BP
- Levels 47 to 50: 16 BP
All basic actions cost 1 BP and 1 Stamina each. Jutsus will have their costs listed upon themselves like this: Name: (the name of the jutsu) Rank: (D, C, B, A or S) Type: (Tai, nin, genjutsu, KG, ect...) Requirements: (what, if anything, you need in order to learn or cast this jutsu) BP cost: (how much BP this costs) Stamina cost: (how much chakra this jutsu costs) Description: (explains in great detail what the jutsu does) I just cast 10 S rank jutsus! Me? Tired? Why would I be tired?Ninjas are human, not the bunnies of the "we just keep going and going" commercial. As a ninja casts jutsus and depletes his Stamina pool, he grows more and more tired and we all know that when a man is tired he becomes weaker. Which is why once Stamina drops below 90%, for each additional 10% decrease, his other stats are also decreased by 10% and he loses 1 BP each post. Regardless of how bad exhaustion gets, the available BP can't go below half of the maximum provided by your ninja level. Getting wounded in battle also counts as an exhaustion penalty (due to the pain and/or blood loss). Being lightly/moderately/badly/mortally wounded counts as 10/20/40/80% exhaustion. Fighting fair, fighting fast!Battles in [important] topics need to be quick and dynamic, not drawn out for weeks or months. Which is why every 6th post a mod/admin with check the progress of the battle. He will read each post to check its quality, check each ninja's profile to see their stats, and then pass judgement. If the battle was conducted fairly, with nether side GMing, cheating or unrealistically making their characters stronger than they are (like dodging everything even though their Agility stat is low), he will post "All is well, continue as you were". If something in the battle was amiss he can also pass a different judgement such as "Ninja [insert name] should have been lightly/moderately/badly/mortally wounded" and the battle will have to continue as if said ninja really was injured in some of the previous posts. In cases of obvious cheating an admin/mod can simply kill the guilty ninja and close the topic if need be. [Important] topics don't stop just because someone "can't come to the phone right now". If a member with a ninja in an [important] topic doesn't post within 24 hours, the kage of his village (or someone from the village council) will RP for him. If the member announced that he won't be active due to personal reasons, then he can choose who will RP with his character in his place (preferably someone he trusts).

| OH MY GOD I DIED!Yeah it happens, but don't worry, death isn't so bad here. The number 1 reasons for cheating in RPs is because people don't want to lose their characters, since it's usually a royal pain in the ass to create a new one from scratch. For this reason, if on this forum a ninja dies that member's next ninja will 'inherit' (figuratively speaking) some of the money and EXP of the previous ninja. (NOTE: When you die, half of the money you spent on jutsu, skills and unequipped equipment is refunded). You have 3 options: - Inherit 1/2 of the EXP your previous character had and 100% of his the money.
- 3/4 of the EXP. 75% money.
- All of the EXP. 50% of the money.

| Genjutsus I'm afraid here we'll have to get technical. Genjutsus have "attack power" and every ninja has an innate "resistance" to genjutsu which usually looks like this: Attack power = Gen Knowledge + the jutsus base power Gen Resistance = Gen Knowledge + 1/2Perception The base power of genjutsus depends on the rank: -D rank = 0 -C rank = 20 -B rank = 40 -A rank = 60 -S rank = 80 Some genjutsus with a trigger (such as eye contact) can have 10~30 more base power than the above listed. Area or multi-target genjutsus tend to have 10~30 less base power. But most of the time genjutsus don't have one and they cannot be avoided, but they can be dealt with: - A) Injuring the one casting the genjutsu instantly ends it.
- B) If your gen resistance is equal or greater than the attack power of the genjutsu then the genjutsu fails outright.
- C) If the difference between your resistance and the genjutsu's attack power is 15 points or less, you can use the "Kai" jutsu do dispel it.
- D) If the difference between your resistance and the genjutsu's attack power is more than 15 points then it's too late to use "Kai". In this case use option A), or wait for an ally to dispel it for you or wait for the genjutsu's duration to expire. Also note that every round (1 BP = 1 round) you are under a genjutsu, your genjutsu resistance temporarily increases by 1, by 2 if that jutsu has previously been cast on you by the same ninja. If you wait long enough your gen resistance might increase enough to use option B) or C). Once the jutsu is over gen resistance resets back to normal.
- E) If it's way too dangerous to remain under the genjutsu and wait for its duration to expire or your temporary gen resistance to build up, then as a last resort you can injure yourself in order to temporarily increase your gen resistance. A Light of moderate injury will increase your gen resistance by 10 or 30 respectfully.
NOTE: If the difference between your resistance and the genjutsu's attack power is more than 40 points then you are not aware that you are under a genjutsu thus you can't inflict damage to yourself. Skills that affect the effectiveness of "Kai" also affect this condition by the same amount. If you have multiple genjutsus on you (from different enemies) then only the one with the highest Gen power affects you. If they are from the same enemy then he chooses which one affects you. A single Kai dispels all genjutsus that would normally fall within the scope of its negating effect.

| Shinobi Equipment FAQ: How much equipment can I carry? All the items, weapons and protective gear have a "weight" value. How much "weight" a ninja can carry without severally restricting movement depends on his Strength stat. If the total "weight" of his equipment exceeds his Strength stat then he can't perform speed based jutsus, nor is he very nimble. In short, if his fighting tactic isn't stationary (like Gaara), he's pretty much screwed. There is also the issue of where to put all the equipment and weapons for easy access during battle. Below you will see a table with "slots". Each piece of equipment will have an indication in which slot it can be equipped: Slot Type | Item's Name | Item's Weight | Head Up | (something you wear on the forehead, helmet...) | (how much this item weights) | Head Middle | (something over the eyes, face...) | . | Head Down | (something in or over the mouth...) | . | Body | (Outer clothes, light armor, heavy armor) | . | Arms/hands | (Hand, Arm, Forearm protectors) | . | Legs/Feet | (Shoes, thigh protectors...) | . | Accessory | (Cloaks, Gourds, Sheaths, Pouches...) | . | Accessory | (Cloaks, Gourds, Sheaths, Pouches...) | . | Accessory | (Cloaks, Gourds, Sheaths, Pouches...) | . | Accessory | (Cloaks, Gourds, Sheaths, Pouches...) | . | Item Slot | (Consumables, projectiles, small items, etc) | . | Item Slot | (Consumables, projectiles, small items, etc) | . | Item Slot | (Consumables, projectiles, small items, etc) | (total weight of all items you have equipped) | Unequiped | (Items that you have at home) | . |
Some items (like helmets) might take up multiple slots. This is what equipment looks like: Name: (name of the item) Type: (melee/range weapon, protective gear, consumable ect...) Slot: (list which slots it takes up) Weight: (how much it weights) Ammo: (some items can be stacked multiple times into 1 slot. write here how many) Description: (what the items looks like and what does it do) OOC: I have a pretty extensive list of equipment (126 items altogether). I can post those as well if you like.

| List of all the Jutsus and Basic actions so far If you want a canon jutsu just post a link to it (use ether leafninja.com or naruto.wikia.com), and an admin/mod will covert it to match the system (rank, requirements, BP and stamina cost, and price). These are all the basic actions you can use in a fight. If you can think of one that isn't on the list but is a common enough and important enough so as to be on the list then inform and admin/mod or open a topic: - Spoiler:
Name: Tactical Repositioning Type: Basic action BP cost: 1 Stamina cost: 1 Description: The ninja moves a couple of meters in some direction. Closer or farther from the enemy, up a tree, or even just sideways in order to bypass some obstacle (like a stone wall from an earth jutsu) without being forced to smash to it.
Name: Rest Type: Basic action BP cost: 1 Description: The ninja slows down a moment to catch his breath. He recovers 5 Stamina points, "Rest" is less effective if the battle has already gone on for a long time (-1 stamina for every 5th post) and if the ninja is injured (-1/3/5/8 if lightly/moderately/badly/mortally wounded). If a ninja uses this action multiple times in a row he recovers +1 stamina for each previous "rest" action.
Name: Draw Type: Basic action BP cost: 1 Stamina cost: 0, 1 if the weapon/item is of medium size; 2 if it's large size. Description: Pull out, or put back in, an item or weapon from an item/accessory slot. Can't put both hands into the same slot at the same time.
Name: Ranged Attack Type: Basic action BP cost: 1 Stamina cost: 1 Description: The ninja throws a held item or weapon at the opponent.
Name: Melee (un)armed attack Type: Basic action BP cost: 1 Stamina cost: 1 Description: A single or a small combo of punches and kicks, or stabs and slashes with a held weapon.
Name: Interception Type: Basic action BP cost: 1 Stamina cost: 1 Description: The ninja throws a weapon in order to intercept an incoming attack and, hopefully, knock it out of the way.
Name: Block Type: Basic action BP cost: 1 Stamina cost: 1 Description: Use brute strength to stop an attack dead in its tracks.
Name: Deflection Type: Basic action BP cost: 1 Stamina cost: 1 Description: Rather than use brute force to stop an enemy attack in its tracks, this ninja uses skill to deliver glancing blows thus divert melee attacks or incoming projectiles with his bare hands or held weapon(s).
Name: Desperation Type: Basic action BP cost: 1 Stamina cost: 1 Description: The ninja instinctively protects the most vulnerable parts of his body with his limbs. Doing so minimizes the damage he takes from unavoidable attacks.
Name: Ghost Shift Type: Basic action BP cost: 1 Stamina cost: 1 Description: The ninja carefully observes the incoming attack and calculates where its next position will be, then gracefully side steps it without any exaggerated movements.
Name: Dodge Type: Basic action BP cost: 1 Stamina cost: 2 Description: Quickly move out of the way from an incoming attack. Upon finishing the movement, the ninja will be off balance for a moment.
Name: Miscellaneous action Type: Basic action BP cost: 0~1~??? Stamina cost: 0~1~??? Description: A minor action performed during the heat of battle (such as picking up an item from the ground where you stand; deliberately closing your eyes; shutting your ears with your hands; adjusting a piece of equipment ect...). Special: Minor actions that would have significant impact on the combat must be justified RP wise. An explanation such as "he felt like it" or "No reason, just had a gut feeling" will not be tolerated.

Skills allow you to truly customize your ninja (such as allowing him to use multiple elements, medic jutsu, puppets, poisons, multiple taijutsu fighting styles ect...). Skills are divided into 3 groups: Free skills and Regular skills and Prestigious skills. There is no limit to how many free skills a ninja can have, which is why they are so cheap and have such weak effects. Regular skills have much better effects, but a ninja can't have more than 9 of them and Prestigious skills are soooo powerful that a ninja can have only 1 such skill. | List of all the Clans, Kekke Genkai and Clanless traits Clanless traits _______________________________________________ It's a fact that characters with clans (like Nara) or with KGs (like Uchiha, Hyuuga or Aburame) have a big advantage over not so fortunate ninja. In tribute to Ten Ten, Temari, Rock Lee, Kankuro and all the other "average" ninja (and to avoid a site full of one man clans where everyone has a KG) people without clans (KGs) will also gain some kind of benefit. These benefits are called "Clanless traits" and are listed below: Healer at heartMedical Ninja are rare. The necessary requirements are high, the training is long and difficult, the stress is unimaginable. Not to mention it's a pain for a village to finance all that. Many who start walking down that road are often forced to turn back. Those that preserve are often no longer qualified to call themselves true ninja because the time consuming medical training had dulled the rest of their combat skills. But every so often, a truly talented ninja comes along who was "born" to be a medic. - Spoiler:
Medical Ability: Brains and firm hands are required for good doctors, years of study lead to perfection. Fortunately, some people are much faster. - Medic-wanna-be and True Medic skill have no requirements. Auto-Gained.
- Medic Jutsu and equipment cost 30% less money. Auto-Gained.
- Gain Yang Release, doesn't count towards the sub-jutsu type skill cap. Auto-Gained.
Medic Field Training: The very essence of a Medic is hard study and full dedication, which makes one skillful not only on a facility, but also on the field. - Level 1: Stamina costs for all jutsus are reduced by 2. Gained at level 10.
- Level 2: This ninja is very good at avoiding getting injured. Gained at level 16.
Surgical Supremacy: - Level 1: Able to perform KG transplants. Gained with True Medic skill.
Level 2: All medical undertakings have a greater chance of succeeding. Gained at level 25.
Puppet MasterNinja that use unique weapons called puppets are simply called puppeteers. Ninja who use puppets to literally leave their opponent dancing at the end of a string are puppet masters. The battle is just another stage for them and the opponents just puppets without strings, who will dance to the music he plays all the same. - Spoiler:
The Art of Kugutsu- Puppetry skills, jutsus, items, puppets, all cost 20% less money (including custom stuff). Auto-gained.

Defensive Stealth type jutsus, any evasion type jutsu and all Puppet jutsus cost 1 BP less. Gained at level 25. Reversed Pinocchio- Level 1: The user is able to substitute parts of his body lost in battle, by puppet parts (arms and legs). Granted at level 30.
- Level 2: The user is able to fully substitute his body by one of a puppet, literally becoming a puppet. This is used just like Hitokugutsu no Jutsu is used, and thus requires it. Gained at level 35.
Special Note: Cannot be used with other people, since the manipulation of a puppet part requires a puppeteer's skill.
HaptephobiaThese ninja dislike "getting physical" so they use long range weapons with pinpoint and deadly accuracy to take down enemies from a distance. They usually rely on their own skills, and the amount of weapons they have, to effectively take out their enemies without even giving them a chance to react. - Spoiler:

Auto-Gained. At level 15 the reduction becomes 20% and affects every kind of weapon, not just range ones.
RuthlessPowerful, uncaring, pragmatical. These ninja focus only on their own power and will destroy anything that gets in their way. They don't even care about their own bodies or safety and will recklessly attack stronger opponents, or try to force their way out of unfavorable situations relying only on their raw power. They have no true allies, and their loyalty only goes as far as their self interest. - Spoiler:

- Reduce the level requirement and price of the "Lone Wolf" skill by half. Auto-Gained.

Taste for Battle: They don't fight because they have to, they do it because they love it. - Level 1: Each time your attack connects with an enemy (doesn't necessarily have to cause an injury), you get bonus +1 to Str and Agl up to a maximum of 10 each. You lose 1 bonus Str and Agl at the end of each post. Auto-Gained.

You can reset them back at any time (once per battle only). A person with this ability may buy jutsus or items with Stat requirements he does not posses normally, but would posses using this ability. The Born LoserNot every person has an easy time when it comes to molding chakra, in fact, some have been crippled in that aspect since birth. People with this disadvantage that want to become ninjas have only 1 option left. Become masters of Taijutsu. Not everyone can pull this off, but those that do possess the will to train their bodies and physical prowess beyond most other ninja. NOTE: Clanless ninja who have gained a KG by transplant, or something similar, still retain their Clanless Traits. CLANS AND KEKKE GENKAI _______________________________________________ Clans are groups of ninja who've banded together in order to pool their resources and achieve greater success. Based on how old and successful a clan has been, they may have even developed hereditary abilities (Kekke Genkai) or secret jutsus that are unique only to them. Much like how a ninja village is governed (but on a smaller scale), clans can also be improved to grant greater benefits or even unlock special jutsus for its members (the clan budget gets its money from donations from its members, or the village itself). Based on how powerful a clan is, we have divided clans into 3 levels: - Spoiler:
-Level 1 clans are the weakest, least famous and thus cheapest when it comes to improving them. Level 1 clans nether have secret jutsus unique only to that clan nor KGs, but in order to join them ninja usually have to have a certain clanless trait. Some level 1 clans have their own unique "Trait" which replaces your current one if you join that clan. Level 1 clans don't have a KG stat. Example of level 1 clans: Ten Ten's clan, Rock Lee's clan.
-Level 2 clans have earned quite a reputation for themselves and usually possess secret abilities or jutsus unique only to that clan. You don't get a "Clanless Trait" if you are in a level 2 clan since the clan provides you with its own abilities. You usually don't get a KG stat for level 2 clans. Example for level 2 clans: Nara, Aburame, Akimichi, Inuzuka, Yamanaka, Fuuma ect...
-Level 3 clans are extremely (in)famous clans, and for good reason. Ninjas in level 3 clans all have a KG stat and are extremely powerful. To balance this out a bit, level 3 clans have reduced available number of members and their clan improvements are the most expensive. Example for level 3 clans: Uchiha, Hyuuga, Kaguya, and just about every other clan that has an advanced element. (some filler made advanced elements might even count as level 2 clans).
Creating custom clans costs a LOT of money, especially if they are level 2 or 3. Newcomers will not be able to afford it, but they CAN ask for funding from a village (assuming the Kage and village council think it's a good investment). NOTE: Ninja who have somehow managed to learn secret jutsus from a level 2 clan, or obtained KG's through transplant or something, only get those things and NOT the rest of the benefits from clan improvements from the clan that KG (or jutsu) belongs to. Once this site is operational we'll have an auction to see which village gets which canon clan right from the start (all the rest will become NPC clans). Until then I will not reveal the structure of each clan.
